How to use your work iPhone

Short lessons for the managed iPhone and the Microsoft apps on it: Teams, Outlook, and Edge. Work through them on the phone or on a computer.

Initial sign in

Teams

To use the QR code for sign in, you must first sign in with your email and password for your work email account.

Open the Teams app.

Tap Sign in with employee ID. Do not start with the QR code.

Enter your first initial and last name, then tap Next. Leave @alt-inc.org as it is.

Enter your password and tap Sign in.

If you forgot your password, tap Forgot my password.

On the password screen, tap Forgot my password.

Your username is already filled in. Tap Next.

Select Approve a notification on my authenticator app, then tap Send Notification.

A two-digit number appears on the LPN iPhone. Leave this screen open.

On your personal phone, open Microsoft Authenticator, enter that number, then tap Approve.

Enter a new password, confirm it, then tap Finish.

Access messages

Teams

These messages appear the first time you sign in, open a chat, add a photo, or start a meeting.

After you enter your password, Authenticator asks to use the camera. Tap Allow.

QR code sign in

After the initial sign in, you can use the QR code going forward.

Open the Teams app.

Tap Sign in with a QR code.

Open the QR code on your personal phone, from Photos or your work email. Scan it with the LPN iPhone.

The first time, Teams asks you to update your PIN. Enter the PIN that was sent with the QR code, create an 8-digit PIN you will remember, confirm it, then tap Sign in.

The next time, scan the QR code the same way, then enter the PIN you created.

Sign out

Teams

Signing out of Teams will sign you out of all Microsoft apps.

In the Teams app, tap your picture in the top left corner.

Tap the red Sign out in the bottom left corner.

A message says this will sign you out of all apps on this device. Tap Sign out.
